My pet peeve

I just figured something out. I detest over-rabid DreamWorks Animation fans. (If you like DreamWorks Animation and really, really, really know what you're talking about, the following does not apply to you.) I mean, seriously, if you think Shrek 2 is superior to every other movie ever made, then I'm not going to read any more of your movie reviews. Especially those who say "Duh, Pixar sucks, duh, but DreamWorks is actually adult unlike the kiddie-crap that Disney..." Sorry. You're wrong. DreamWorks Animation films, and pretty much any American animated film not made by Disney or Pixar is juvenile to the extreme. How is a farting ogre and references to today's pop culture "adult"? It's preteens that know the most about pop culture, and consequently, the films cater to preteens. And how are the blame for killing your father, the frustrations of being trapped by your appearance, and the lusting of public figure after a gypsy, "kiddie"? And as for the "Pixar sucks" comment... well, maybe if you think only Kubrick or Ford or Hitchcock knew how to make good movies, yeah, but even then, that's very questionable. But if you only like DreamWorks animated crap...well...

Nothing against you personally...just in your taste in movies.
